Muay Thai Sangha Fight

I was on YouTube and found a muay thai video of one of my friends and training partners that I trained with in Chiang Mai, Thailand, out of the Muay Thai Sangha gym. It's pretty exciting to see him fighting (this is his third fight now), since Kruu Villalobos tends not to send his students into the ring untill they're as tough as the nails that they mix with their cereal! ;)

Here are the 3 clips:

Wai Kruu; a ceremonial dance preformed at the beginning of most fights to pay respect to the teachers and founders of Muay Thai.

Round 1:

Round 2:

And a link to another one of Jay's fights.

Congrats to "The Iron Priest!"

Did you guys train to that music?

Good fight. Must hurt after, even with the "cereal nail toughness" and so forth...

My theory on how he wont the fight;

The music in the background made his punches +10HP harder because of their magical powers. It's really the only logical explanation.

f'ed if I know, i barely know what HP means. I'm just saying that asian music tend to give people (and anime characters) more HP. And im not talking about the delicious sauce.

LOL

No, we didn't train to the music; only when we practiced the Ram Wai (Wai Kruu). The music is basically meant to dictate the speed and intensity of a fight. If it starts getting slow or boring, the musicians will speed it up a bit to get the fighters going again.

The average MT fighter has 1500 LifePoints, 650 ManaPoints, and does 70 HP with his punches. Knees, elbows and kicks on the other hand are a whole different story though! haha

...and you spend all your time preparing secret combo moves that do exponential damage, right? And you give the move secret names which you yell as you invoke them to strike fear in your enemies just like Sailor Moon... "Moooon Tiara ACTIVATE!!!"

What did you yell out when you invoked your secret combo move? "Ow my leg!"

Well after they stopped letting me wear my Moon Tiara into the ring I was forced to implant all 7 Dragonballz into my body so that I could summon the Great DragonLord (he prefers to be called Tim), to vanquish my enemies.

"DragonLord, I summon thee!" Is what I'd say.

Oh, and we can't forget that once the announcer proclaims, "Finish Him!" it unlocks your secret Fatality Combo... it's really hard to pull of though; mine was Up Up Left Up Down C Up Select Select A A A B A A C A B A C Down Down Up Left A Right Right CCCCCCCCCCCCC

Once you pull it off, it's TOTALLY worth it! :P
